Rooted in a Family Legacy
Long before Raizal existed, coffee was already part of my life.In the hills of Restrepo, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, at Hacienda Las Mercedes, for three decades my family worked in rhythm with the land — cultivating not only coffee, but a way of understanding time, patience, and craft.Those early experiences shaped a lifelong connection to origin.Raizal is a return — a reconnection with that history — bringing together a lifetime of experiences to create a contemporary expression of Colombian specialty coffee, grounded in memory yet defined by intention.That is where I learned coffee is not a product — it is a discipline shaped over time.

Grown in the mountains of Antioquia, each microlot reflects a lineage shaped by land, altitude, and time.These coffees come from a third-generation farm operated by women, where cultivation is guided by patience, precision, and inherited knowledge.Harvested with intention and selected in small volumes, the result is not just clarity in the cup, but a deeper expression of place and continuity.

Each lot is roasted locally in small batches, where precision and discipline guide every stage of development.Through precise temperature control and slow development, the roast reveals the coffee’s true character without overpowering its origin.Founded by a first responder and veteran, the roastery approaches coffee with a deep commitment to integrity, service, and care — values that shape every profile and every cup.
